Samsung has introduced an incredible new input method for its smartphone devices at ces known as selfie type . the technology was created by samsung by developers in its c lab. it was designed to be a virtual keyboard that is built entirely using artificial intelligence and image recognition.
This is truly the keyboard of the future. samsung plans on incorporating this new
technology into all future galaxy model smartphones. but the idea is still in development at the moment and they still have several kinks to work out.
The purpose of this product was to create a virtual keyboard on the surface of any desk
that simply uses the user’s front-facing camera to determine that the user is
typing.
It’s a simple concept but one of the most futuristic keyboards we’ve ever seen. this typing information is then sent wirelessly to the smartphone and decoded by the software then translated to on-screen typing movements.
There are no additional hardware elements required. as all the technology will be built directly into the phone. it’s incredible how they pack so much hardware into a small package. it is estimated that this technology will only be available on flagship devices.
But it will certainly be an excellent selling point for consumers.
