I recently got an iphone and clicked some lovely pictures with it. everything was working smoothly until i sent these images to my laptop. that’s when i realized that my laptop can’t open these images because apple has switched its default camera format from jpeg to hdic for photos and videos because it saves space. if you have also faced this problem then do drop a comment and tell me how you fixed it.
So in this blog i will show you a quick way on how to change your iphone’s default camera formats from heic to jpeg.
How to Save iPhone Photos as JPG | March 2021
- On your iphone go to settings and then tap camera.
- You will now be shown some options like formats, grid, preserve settings and camera mode.
- Tap formats and just change the format from high efficiency to most compatible.
- Now all your photos will be automatically saved as jpeg instead of heic.
do remember that all the pictures that you’ve already clicked will remain in the heic format and all the new images will be saved in jpeg.
